Engergized crowd at Mecadon "Meet & Greet:

  There’s nothing like Polish pizza and beer on a Thursday night at Cebula’s Pizza in Dupont.
   That was the setting for a “Meet and Greet” for District Judge candidate Jerry Mecadon.
  
    And, the best way to describe the event was energized.  With well over
100 coming through the door, friends, family and supporters gathered to
show their support.

New district lines reshape magistrate race

The state Supreme Court on Monday approved new boundary lines for magisterial districts in Luzerne County, paving the way for a hotly contested election in the Pittston area.

The realignment order, to be in place for 10 years, eventually eliminates the office of longtime Magisterial District Judge Gerald Feissner in Freeland. Feissner's office will be phased out in January 2018 as part of a long-term plan to reduce court costs.
